Hi...thanks for the inspriation..I am waiting for results to find out what problems I am having...have classic symptoms..tremors..bug eyes..blurred vision..50 pound weight loss...did not even try..can't stand the heat..I appreciate your time and trouble to make this page...I have learned alot on what to expect...keep up the good work

never have i felt so alone as the last 5 years of my life. I live in a small town therefore, i have never met anyone else with this disease. When i began reading your personal story about GD i began to cry. Finally, someone out there understands what i go through on a daily basis. I sometimes think my family & friends think i'm crazy. I was starting to think i was too! You will never know what it feels like to talk to someone who understands. Although I still suffer terribly , and some days just feel as if i can't take it anymore, I now know I am not alone. If anyone would like to talk about this PLEASE DO. Thanks Sue!

Yesterday after the tests were completed I was told that I have have Graves Disease. Really came as a relief after going years running very hot. Just recently though I started to loose weight and my muscles were shaking for no apparent reason. My doctor was right on top of the problem and ordered a thyroid blood test that day. After reading other people's stories on this site I feel very fortuate. Thank God that we live in a day and age where these things can be treated. Larry

IN THE LAST 2 YEARS THAT I HAVE GD, I HAVE NOTICED SOME STRANGE THINGS FROM TIME TO TIME, THE LASTEST, IS THE RIGHT ARM PIT AND RIGHT BREAST SERVERE PAIN, HAD ULTRA SOUND AND MAMOGRAM DONE, EVERY THING OK THERE. BUT THE PAIN STILL SIST, NO ANSWER STUMPED, DOCTOR THINKS MAYBE THE HORMORNE CHANGES, MAYBE CAUSING A DEO. REACTION, HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF THIS. SOME NIGHTS I WAKE UP WITH SUCH PAIN. IT'S TOUGH BEING DIG. W/ GD.

Hi, The medical profession has a lot of rethinking to do. Now that know the other symptoms, i've probably had the problem longer. The symptom that started me was this incesent itch and breaking out. 6 weeks of torture and an allergist finally did the correct test, Mind you i see an endocrynologist for diabetes...My worst fear was that i might be allergic to my parrots {ha,ha}. I'm waiting for the e.doc to rec. the blood results and hope to start some regime Mon. Thanks for listening. Sandybird

I am at this email address until April. Then I will be back with my home address, which is margie@bbtel.com I had a Thyroid 'storm' on Thanksgiving day 1995. I was diagnosed by December and was mostly controlled by April of '96. I have a very good Dr. and she keeps close watch on me. I am having a very hard time with weight gain and desperately need help.
