Comments: I found out that I too have Graves' disease just recently. I currently on a low dosage medication to try to arrest the disease, since I'm apparently in the earlier stages on it! I wish you best of luck in your fight!!!!

Comments: Thank you for all the information on this site. I was diagnosed on Friday with Graves Disease and am almost relieved...I thought I was getting old FAST !!! I have been suffering from a sinus infection for over a year and all kinds of medication failed to really get rid of it. I am anxious to get on with whatever needs to be done but because I live in a small community and we have only one endocrynologist who is booked to Mars and back with patients, my appointment isn't until Dec. 18th. In the meantime, my GP has increase my Atenolol which has helped my rapid heartbeat feeling.

Comments: Thank you for your story. The most valuable part of your site for me is the checklist. It is excellent. I have 20 out of the 34 listed. I recently had a TSH done and they are trying to tell me that my blood test came back with normal levels. I don't understand that at all. I feel so terrible and I KNOW that it is my thyroid. I have had Hypo for 6 years and remember vividly those symptoms that I had then. Thanks again. God Bless you. Renae Tolbert

Comments: Been at dianne wiley web page. It is a good source of info et.al. Some real drivel on the bb but that is ok. Took challenge from bb man called E.M. too research "medical Marijuana" for GD treatment or overall effects. Point is to separate wheat from chaff on this hot topic. I am advocate not of Med pot but of scientifically proven therapy. If Med pot has scientific backround (or any of its major ingredites does) I will make this info public on wileys home page. Not an easy task, I need help, ANy takers?

Comments: I was diagnosed with Graves' disease in January, 1998. I am 30 years old and have a strong family history of thyroid disease. I asked my OB/GYN to test my thyroid because of my family history and she was very hestitant but agreed to do it. The first test showed problems and she thought it was a mistake and wanted me to go back for a second blood test. The second test confirmed I had Graves' disease/hyperthryoidism. I had the iodine testment done and started on Synthyroid shortly after that. It has been very hard at times but I feel better and better everyday. I had many days that I also thought I was crazy and oversensitive. It puts my mind at ease to know it was not all in my head!! Keep up the great work on your website--the more people who are informed about this disease the better!!

Comments: I was just diagnosed with Graves' Disease today after being treated on and off for hyperthyroidism for over 12 yrs. Now I have to decide how I want to treat this--radioactive iodine, surgery, or medication. I'm surfing the net looking for any information I can find to help me.
