Comments: What an impressive account of what one goes through with this disease. I was diagnosed in Jan 1998 after having the disease for at least 3 years and probablly alot longer. Your story has helped me to keep the faith that there is a tomorrow and a return to being "normal". I hope other will keep that faith because sometimes it can seem pretty hopeless. I actually work in the medical field and was face to face with physicians every day and not one noticed my goiter. It was picked up by a nurse. I am so thankful that she was on the ball. thanks again for your story.

Comments: i have been on medicien for my graves disease for about 2 years now and for these 2 years i been taking 5 pills a day for my blood pressure, tapazole, and synthroid and i will be continueing the medicine for atleast antoher 6 months. There is a 25% reoccurance and i was that 25%. i am at the point of doing the radioactive iodine but i dont know. the hting is that i am 18 and i ofund out about ym graves disease when i was 16 and had it since i was 15.

I found out I had graves in oct of 95 and been fighting it ever since, all my friends ask me what it is and I send them to your page, it is so hard to just say, well anything that can screw up in your body is screwed up by graves. I have been hyperthyroid to hypothyroid it seems like forever. So *huggs* to you cause you are not alone. Thanks again and good luck in your treatment!

Comments: Thanks Sue for your page... I thought I was crazy... I thought I was the only one who acted strange and went from up to down and cried for no reason and hurt people around me... I thought I was the only one who had sudden unexplained fits of anger followed buy outbursts of uncontrolled tears... I have Graves disease... my hair is falling out and I sometimes feel like I just want to die. Your page is very encouraging... it makes me realize that i'm not alone. Thank you Sue.
