Comments: I too have GD, for the second time in 4 years. After my medication returns my thyroid levels to "normal" I will have the iodine treatment. I have experienced many of the symptoms, either the 1st or this time round. The major problem for me both times is my eyes and my mood swings, not to mention my weight gain with the medication.

Comments: I also have gd. It was discovered back in 1992 when going to a obgyn trying to get pregnant after being married for 10 years. Radiation was what I opted for and now 7yrs later I have 2 boys, 3yrs & 12wks. Everyone having gd hang in there, cindy.

Comments: I was luck. My mom had the disease, and when I got the symptoms, she warned me right away. Does anyone know why pregnacy brings on this disease?

Comments: I belive I was Born w/Graves. It has caused many problems throught my 41 yrs, nobody put it all toggether. I Was Diagnosed in 1992 at a clinic and not proporly edgucated about Graves. Now I'm on the proverbial rollercoaster of emotions and physical problems. My thyroid is now in the process of dying on it's own, or that is what my doctor says.I am still new at this and have much to learn.

Comments: I feel sooo lucky, I'm 26, tomorrow I will be 27. I have just started my L-thyroxine meds. I read alot of the stories on this site, its so nice to see that I'm not alone. I'm on the (I hope) slowing down part of my rollercoaster ride. Once it levels (LOL) out, I'll probably write my story too! :) Good luck to everyone with this disease, and remember to keep your chin up! You are all in my prayers.
