Comments: My husband is the one with graves. The disease from hell. He has had graves now for 3 years, had 2 radioactive iodine treatments, still can't tolerate light, feels sick all the time, shakes, blurry vision, bulging eyes. Finally the double vision is not as bad. Been out of work on disability for 2 years now. Benefits are about to stop. Doctor says your fine go back to work. He was a heavy construction operator, and has not been behind the wheel of a vehicle since he got graves for fear that he could not see well enough. He started doing a little work helping a friend who ownes a painting business. AFter one week his eyes are so soar, and having trouble seeing again. But according to his doctors he should be fine now. We just don't know where to turn, he's only 42 years old. Any suggestions. Thanks

Comments: I don't have Graves' disease but I know a 14 year old girl that does. We are trying to find something that will work for her. She is going to Cooks Hosp Monday and I noticed that everyone seemed disappointed about the Dr. taking so long to find it! I feel the same way. I am against Prescription drugs if it is avoidable and was wondering if any vitamins or nutrients helped your condition? Comments: I think I was lucky and was diagnosed approximately 1 year of "getting"/"having" Graves Disease by a GYN doctor during a check up because my body was acting so wild. I am very thankdul to this doctor because he made immediately made a phone call to a local endocrinologist and arranged for me to be seen the next day. My blood levels were so high they could not even be measured, I wa put on a beta blocker, and then received RAI. It is now 2 years later and I feel great and strangely that bothers me because my blood levels have been normal for over 1 year. Is that normal? What should I expect next? This was the biggest scare of my life because I had never been so ill and so I worry about the residual consequences. Does anyone have the same post procedural experience? What happens now? I am taking no medication except for vitamins.
