Comments: Thanks for this page, I just got my TSH levels today and they were out of sight, so my Grave's is acting up again after a two year hiatus of normal TSH. Now my doctor is putting me on increasing doses of a synthroid type drug. But this condition has me spooked cant find much about it, my eye doctor thinks its causing all my vision problems. Two of my sisters have the hypothyroid condition. There are so many symptoms on your checklist that I have, its scarry. What is the prognosis, doctors will not tell me or are unsure?/ Help

Comments: Was diagnoised with GD in Oct. 98 without having any symptoms. Went into doctor with a sore throat and when she felt the front of my throat noticed enlarged thyroid. Had RAI within 6 weeks. Felt like crap for the next 3 months and also gained 30 pounds in the process. Do not know if early prognoisis helped but after taken synthroid for almost 1 year I feel great. Still am struggling to take the weight off!!! If I had to do it again, I would try the meds first.
