Comments: Wow! So I'm not really crazy. I was diagnosed with Graves' disease today.... after years of depression, no self worth and tons of stress. I too was diagnosed with depression....over and over and over again. I'm deciding on the surgery instead of the RadioActive Iodine...Dr. says I can't kiss my honey and/or use the same utensils and stuff....that worries me. Anyhow, I wish you a bright and sunny future.... Best of luck.

Comments: I do not know if I have a thyroid disease. A doctor said my throid hormones were low, and he would check them again in 3mos. I have been sick for 7 years though and have most of the symptoms listed on your checklist. Now my eyes are in such pain & starting to bulge. Your site has helped me tremendously to recognize the seriousness of finding out if it is my thyroid and how to treat it. I hope I can find a doctor who will be helpful in that regard. Thank you for this site and I hope you are doing well!

Comments: I just wanted to put in my $.02 worth. I was diagnosed with GD during the summer of 1992. I was 20 and just newly married. (divorced now and remarried) My in-laws at the time just thought I was lazy. I couldn't do anything around the house because I was so tired all the time. My own mother was beginning to suspect laziness until she actually looked at me. My eyes had "bugged" out. She then took action and took me to the doc's. They ran major blood tests and come to find out, my TSH level was so bad that the lab called my doctor and had him call me immediately for an appointment with the endocrinologist. The final result was the radioactive iodine which destroyed all of my thyroid and supplemental thyroid hormones. I have been waging my private war with this for a while and will continue to for the rest of my life. Anyway, thanks for this website and the opportunity to share. That's my $1.50 worth.
