Comments: Just a note to thank you all for your information. Just diagnosed after 2 years of strange medical and emotional happenings, your site gives me more information than any GP. I have some very strange symptoms at night starting at my feet and what seems to be going through my nervous system, I know it is related, can anyone relate to this? Stress makes everything worse.

Comments: very interesting! i have hyperthyroidism and now am wondering if i have graves disease. i am suprised that nobody mentioned the toll this disease has on ones marriage. mine seems to be falling apart. my husband doesnt seem to get it that im moody and not feeling good for a reason and not to be doing irrational things out of spite for him. i can so relate to many of the stories when it comes to doctors. my doc is currently not returning my calls and im out of meds. thanks for this site, its great to know there are other people who are talking about this.

Comments: Thanks for this great info. I'm 34 and was just diagnosed with GD, and I'm looking for all the info I can get my hands on!Talking to people that have been through it will be most helpful. I know now to find out what my levels are to find the severity of the disease. What I could use help on, is that I'm interested in finding out side effects of the drugs. Will I be tired(er), gain weight, be dizzy? If anyone could let me know, I would appreciate it! Please mention "Thyroid" in the subject of your email. Also, if anyone has tried any herbal or diet remedies-changes that have helped, I'd love to hear about them too.

Comments: I ejoyed reading about other peoples war this horrible disease I myself have came very close to killing certain people , simply because i could not control my emotions . I also found out that my symptoms sttarted about 4 years ago, but went undiagnosed until 3 months ago . i was always an emotional wreak. I hated myself and just about everybody else because no one could understand why I was so irritable sweated all the time then I started gaining weight and went to my gyn after going to my M.D all these years my gyn found out that my thyroid was really messed up and sent me to a endocrinologist which has now put me on medication for my heart and of course tapazole for my hyperthyroidism which he thinks that I have had for at least 4 years. things got better with my nerves personality and sweating ,but then I gained a toltal of 30 pounds . and I have always been skinny all my 39 years until now I can not handle being fat what can I do? Im not o ver eating or anything ,but I keep gaining weight and I am afraid it wont stop . I am also starting to get deeply depressed because of this and I dont see my endo for about 9 days because he is out of town for thanksgiving. please did this happen to you and if so when and what did you do about it. thank you for sharing so much with us patients .you shall surely be blessed in heaven since your life on earth has been hell. love and happiness sherry.
