Comments: I recently was diagnosed and was told I have probably had Graves since 7/99 (throughout my last pregnancy). I have just recently had a toxic reaction to Tapazole and 11 days in hospital with thyrotoxicosis. Taking a shower is a real effort these days, but hearing other stories about people seeing the light at the end and telling me it is not a freight train gives me hope. I would love to hear from anyone with words of wisdom or suggestions on getting through this faster. Sincerely, Deb Shearer

Comments: Thanks for your info. I was just diagnosed with Graves Disease this past April and I can't believe all the problems this disease creates in your entire body! I am still going through rigorous treatments; but some days, it is so hard just to get out of bed, much less deal with the rest of the world. Am currently having problems dealing with anxiety, which the doctors assure me will get better. My marriage fell apart during my illness and it seems hard to explain to others about an illness that I'm only learning about as I go through it. But, I have found a great doctor and that helps. Thanks again for your site; it really helped. God Bless!

Comments: I read your story and was touched and somewhat relieved. My sister as of today just found out she has graves disease. I started crying, because she is only 24. She is my kid sister and we shared everything like we were twins. I love her to death, but I am worried about the treatments for her. She lives in a small town and I think sometimes they are behind in technology and more so everything medical. I am praying for her. Thank you.
