Comments: Hi. I read about your battle with Grave's disease. I am only 18 and I was just diagnosed with it, good thing the doctor caught it quick. Anyway, you have a nice page here.

Comments: Hi Sue, just browsing some personal story websites on Grave's. Your story of diagnosis was so like mine, but I only went 4 years or so before the weight loss was so significant the doctors had to believe it wasn't "just stress". I thought I had a chronic disease the doctors would never find, and was sure I was dying. Diagnosis was over 11 years ago, since then I've had surgery and relapsed. This time I am working with the anti-thyroid drugs, and am now reasonably stable on 25mg twice daily of PTU, and have some indications that this is too much ATD. Time for an update - how did it work out on Armour?

Comments: I have just been diagnoised with hyperthyroidism so I am doing some research. I had my sonogram on Wednesday and do not have my appointment with my endrocronologist (sp?) until November 1. I will hear from my doctor hopefully today as to what the results of the sonongram were. I enjoyed your page. Thanks.

Comments: My daughter who lives in Bangkok, Thailand, endured a pregnancy and surgery without diagnosing Graves. After a Christmas visit last year, I told her to have her thyroid checked. With improper treatment, she finds the disease uncontrolled and her heart rate dangerous in a surprise pregnancy. Would appreciate anyone with similar experience
